Established in 1859, Stamm defines itself as a purveyor of contemporary Austrian design with an emphasis on traditional craftsmanship. Initially, Stamm was famous for decorative items like artificial flowers and feather decor. One and a half centuries later, in the year 2009, Marcus Fried decided to cast this traditional shop in a new light by turning it into a concept store centered around the theme of table culture. The collections sold here are made of porcelain, silver and crystal, and are manufactured by greats like Nymphenburg, Baccarat and Christofle. You'll also find "Pâte de cristal" sculptures by Daum. At Stamm all products manage to maintain a delicate balance between tradition and modernity. During the Vienna Design Week in 2009, Stamm's Tafelservice RESET line (for which Thomas Feichtner was brought on board) stole the show. We have no doubt that similar successes await this fantastic store in the future!Show lessRead more
