"Extraordinary Chocolates for Extraordinary People." That is the motto at Schokov, the luxury chocolatier on Siebensterngasse. Schokov was started in 2006 by Thomas Kovazh, alias "tomkov," a former ad agency copywriter. When asked about the motivation behind his career change, Kovazh said that he was tired of making people "pseudo-unhappy" with advertisements; he wanted to make people happy for real by being a purveyor of one of the best things on earth: chocolate. Schokov's enviable selection includes over 200 different kinds of chocolate from at least 15 different countries. We noticed a slight bias in favor of Austrian makers, but with brands like Pichler, Berger and Zotter such patriotism is completely understandable. Most items can be ordered on Schokov's website, but for the proper effect we recommend popping by and indulging the senses. Show lessRead more
