Schokoladekönig Leschanz

Only steps away from the Petersplatz lies Leschanz, a paradise for chocoholics. After apprenticing in some of Vienna's most well-known sweet spots like Sacher, Demel and Pischinger, Wolfgang Leschanz started manufacturing his own chocolate in 1995. It took a while to find the perfect location for his store, but Mr. Leschanz eventually set up shop in the Freisingergasse, in a building whose 18th century interior was previously home to the famed Knopfkönigen. These days, Leschanz Chocolate has a reputation for sugary excellence. Clients include the Austrian president and members of the chancellery, as well as many of Vienna's most famous hotels. This success should come as no surprise given the range of cakes, chocolate bars, truffled goods, and other confectionary miracles that Leschanz has to offer. To top it all off (no pun intended), this store also has a chocolate fountain which would make Willy Wonka turn green with envy. Show lessRead more
