Markus Böhm loves vintage Italian racing bikes. In 2006 he started what would become a series of pop-up stores, which he called Radlager. Although the concept stayed the same – they sell meticulously refurbished classic bikes or repair yours while you sip on imported Italian coffee – the location frequently changed. Six years later in 2013, Christoph Kletzer and Gregor Kadanka came on board, with the vision of providing the vagabond Radlager with a permanent home in one of Vienna’s most dynamic neighborhoods. Enter the Radlager Palazzo. Every detail of this bicycle-cum-coffee shop is carefully curated and each object celebrated: the lamps are original 1895 lamps from the Pirelli factory, the coffee machine a Faema from 1961, each bike has been lovingly refurbished and proudly shows off the deft craftsmanship with which it was assembled and quality materials from which it was made. The owners proudly announced that they have scored an exclusive deal with the Moulton bicycle company, their staple being a classic piece of English design history – a small wheeled, high performance urban bicycle. Radlager Palazzo’s doors are open for you to bask among the beautiful bicycles while you sip Passalacqua espresso and enjoy a roast beef sandwich – and all the better if you’re in the market for a handsome unique vintage two-wheeler!Show lessRead more
