    The story of Jungmann & Neffe begins in 1836 when Leopold Jungmann founded his commission-based fabrics company. In 1881, Leopold's son, Wilhelm, oversaw the opening of the store on the Albrechtsplatz (now Albertinaplatz), where it still stands today as a protected historic landmark. Most of Jungmann & Neffe's interior, from the mural depicting an allegory of the silk trade to the solid oak panelling, dates back to the store's inception. Back then, Jungmann & Neffe was the official fabrics supplier to the Austrian Imperial court. Today, this historic establishment treats every customer like royalty.
