Chocolate and cake-maker Eduard A. Fruth has been dedicated to creating sweet delights for over 50 years. His passion for pastries and confections has taken him to places like France, Luxembourg and Turkey, where he was able to perfect his craft among the, dare we say it, crème de la crème. In the '80s, Fruth was recruited by a large Japanese baking company to assemble and train the personnel for an Austrian-style confectionery. However, it wasn't until 1996 that Mr. Fruth decided to open up his own cake-making operation, which became the "Fruth Chocolaterie Patisserie au marche" in the Kettenbrückengasse. Some of the specialties to be found in this charming shop with art nouveau flair include the hand-rolled chocolate truffles, the punschkrapfen, the Parisian spitz and various molded chocolate creations whose flavors are too rich to describe in words.
