Eva Blut

Eva Buchleitner founded the label Eva Blut in 1998, after having graduated from the Fashion Institute in Hetzendorf and working as an accessory design assistant for Vivienne Westwood in London. The label's first ten years saw the launch of bi-annual clothing collections, shows in Paris and the following of an international clientele from Europe, Japan and the United States. In 2008, Eva Buchleitner switched gears and began focusing on accessory design – first with a series of conceptual wallets and later with a line of clever bags and belts.  Eva Blut has traditionally relied on a broad network of stores around the world but, after successful pop-up shop events, she opened her flagship store in Vienna’s city center in the spring of 2012. Upon entering the store one is struck by the designer's consequent palette. The autumn/winter '12/'13 collection explores traditional Austrian loden fabrics in the colors mouse, coffee, cobalt and black. All items are produced in Vienna and Budapest. The bags are tailored to the needs of contemporary women and men – her “Cube” bag is cleverly designed to morph into backpack, handbag or travel bag. The “Day and Night” model can serve as a computer bag during the workday and transform into an elegant evening bag for a night out. Eva Blut’s products – be they belts, bags or wallets – are renowned for their beautiful combination of light materials with high-quality leather and intelligent design.Show lessRead more
