Tartine Bakery is a destination spot for those seeking sweet treats of the highest quality. The Guerrero Street shop specializes in cakes, pudding, cobblers, pies, breads, and much more, with new items made daily. Both a café and bakery, Tartine is located on the same city block as two other highly acclaimed food spots—Delfina restaurant and Bi-Rite Market, and is easily accessible by train. Their pastries have brought them recognition in the form of a James Beard award in 2008, and nominations in 2006 and 2007. The small space is always filled with two things: hungry people and the smell of freshly baked goods. Tartine is probably most famous for its bread, which sells out on a daily basis.
