No Shop

Amber Nicole Gavin and Leah Edwina Martin opened No Shop as a space to sell all the “really great and really wearable” clothes that they were finding and buying while shopping for themselves. The store opened in 2009 and the selection of vintage clothing and accessories continues to grow, with racks on some walls reaching the ceiling. Ladies looking for feminine floral dresses are in luck, and key items for men include great finds from Pendleton and Woolrich. The shop is conveniently located on a small block in the Mission District next door to the popular Four Barrel Coffee and near a cluster of half a dozen other retail spaces, making it a destination for locals and tourists alike. Thanks to the fun mix of affordable finds, don't be surprised if you walk out with a bulging bag full of new threads.Show lessRead more

As chain stores fill the streetscape the world over, this project is a celebration of the independent retailer. All stores featured on Shopikon have been hand-picked by our editors who have visited thousands of stores, and only the best of the bunch make it into our guide. We evaluate stores based on product selection, atmosphere, dedication to their specialty, and overall shopping experience, making sure that they are all worth your trip!
