Vert d'Absinthe

From the first time he tasted the 19th century destillate Absinthe, Luc Santiago Rodriguez, owner and founder of Vert d’Absinthe, has been enamored with its culture and history. In his tiny store located in the Marais, Rodriguez has assembled an absinthe universe delving into the colorful past of writers, artists and musicians who were overtaken by the drink’s magic. Only a small selection of traditionally made absinthes is sold here and a special place is reserved for the 8 different varieties that Vert d’Absinthe produces. Bearing the name Les Parisiennes, these liquors contain different odors and perfumes reminiscent of the plants they were fermented from. Each flavor was studied and refined by Rodriquez and a small team of manufacturers. Other varieties are imported from Switzerland, Germany, and the Netherlands. The store’s decor is one of a kind, boasting the accessories inseparable from absinthes' consumption - vintage decanters, crystal absinthe glasses and the finely detailed flat sugar spoons with carefully etched designs.Show lessRead more
