Marie-Hélène de Taillac

In the shadow of the Luxembourg Palace, home of the French Senate, sits the inconspicuous storefront of high-end jeweler Marie-Hélène de Taillac. A former fashion industry insider with a passion for travel and an eye for color, de Taillac debuted her first collection in 1996 and has been steadily gaining followers ever since. From cocktail rings and drop earrings to cuff bracelets, the designer is known for her pure aesthetic centering on richly hued gemstones. By subverting otherwise simple and clean lines with bold pops of color, each piece manages to retain a sense of both sophisticated elegance and playfulness. This versatility, in addition to the quality of the stones selected by the designer herself, has helped garner a dedicated international clientele. Marie-Hélène de Taillac’s cosmopolitan sensibility has many facets, as further evidenced by her artistic collaborations with stone-cutting craftsmen in India, local French artisans for the brand’s trademark jewel-toned leather boxes, and with designer Tom Dixon for the Paris boutique’s luminous, powder-blue showroom.Show lessRead more
