Maison Bonnet

La Maison Bonnet is home to some of the last remaining artisans in the glasses making business. Tucked into a small alleyway, the boutique showcases a selection of expertly handcrafted frames, dramatically displayed within white boxes enveloped by the dark background of the storefront. Next to the shop is a small atelier where passersby can see one of the artisans at work. Only the finest materials are used for their frames – from acetate and buffalo horn to extremely rare tortoise shell. This family business spans four generations, currently run by Franck and Steven Bonnet, the grandchildren of the founder. Although the prices of this specialty eyewear store may be lofty for many, the craftsmanship and attention to detail cannot be matched. The Bonnet family has successfully passed down the tools, trade and humble attitude for generations, never ceasing to improve and master their trade.Show lessRead more
