Isaac Reina

With a background in architecture, it's no surprise that Isaac Reina's leather accessories are a study in contrasts: basic yet avant-garde, functional yet luxurious, subdued yet eye-catching. After handling designer Antonio Miro's men's collection, the Barcelona-born Reina moved to Paris where he garnered enviable apprenticeships at Hermès and Maison Martin Margiela. He soon decided to focus on his calling in leather and accessories. 2006 proved to be a busy year for Reina as he launched his first collection, and also opened the label's only existing stand-alone boutique-atelier in the Marais. Though modest in size, you'll find a wealth of handcrafted bags for men and women, foldable wallets, card holders, and even iPad cases using leather of only the highest quality. Of Reina's creations, his weekend carrier is the most popular: a beautiful bag of supple calfskin leather whose absence of inner lining makes it a wonderfully lightweight tote for short weekend getaways. Another product in high demand is the practical yet beautiful A4-sized folder with elastic straps, an everyday item that Reina manages to turn into an eye-catching object.Show lessRead more
