Infused with rich colors reminiscent of a spice market, Épice's scarves, shawls and wraps are a stunning combination of Scandinavian simplicity and Indian grandeur. Danish duo Bess Nielsen and Jan Machenhauer founded Épice in 1999, drawing inspiration from India, where Nielsen worked and lived for over 35 years. Designed in their Copenhagen studio and fabricated in India, they come up with mesmerizing prints and motifs on quality textiles including wool, cotton, linen and silk, each bearing that unique touch of artisanal craftsmanship that the designers so greatly admire. The brand also carries cardigans, as well as a men's collection which was introduced in 2005. In 2010, Épice made its first home in the historic arcades of the Palais Royal. Its spartan yet chic interiors allow the colorful pieces to take center stage, and the helpful advice and guidance of the staff is great to have at hand when faced with the difficult task of selecting a scarf - or two - to take home.
