Archive 1820

Located in the heart of the Marais, Archive 1820 houses an impeccably curated selection of men’s clothes and design objects in a sprawling 400 square-meter space. Séverine Lahyani, founder of the menswear brand Ly Adams, not only conceptualized Archive 1820 as an extension of her brand but also as a place to introduce items from handpicked designers and artists. Men’s clothing and footwear flank the left side of the store: rifle through the racks for the latest APC, Kitsuné, Etudes Studio, Marni, Art Comes First and — of course — Ly Adams. To the right, an eclectic range of lifestyle objects such as Tom Dixon homeware, Shinola bikes and accessories, Izipizi eyewear, and obscure bottles of rum and whisky. The store’s architecture, realized by Lenka and Daniel Gallo, incorporates elements of glass, wood, stone and metal to create an ambiance akin to a Brooklyn loft. The entrance houses a refreshing corner filled with plants and terraniums, as well as a coffee shop serving lunches, drinks and desserts, all homemade and organic.Show lessRead more
