Staubitz Market

Established in 1917 and now in its third generation of ownership, Staubitz is a little piece of New York history located in Brooklyn’s quaint-yet-bustling Cobble Hill neighborhood. Originally a basic butchery, Staubitz has expanded its inventory while maintaining its high-quality selection and without sacrificing its old Brooklyn feel. All Staubitz meats, poultry and game are hand-selected daily. After the goods arrive at the shop, they are hand-cut and trimmed using the original tools dating back to the opening of the shop. These days, while still finding great quality basics behind the counter, you can also find exotic meats and game. Lining the walls are some sweet gourmet items, including margarita mixes, myriad crackers, Amy’s breads, and boxed sets for making mini whoopee-pies. All in all, Staubitz has moved ahead with the times, but has never lost sight of its original goal of providing the neighborhood with great quality meats.Show lessRead more
