Silver Lining Opticians

Jordan Silver and Eric Sacher, owners of Silver Lining Opticians, started their business out of a shared passion for vintage eyewear. After years working in eyewear retail businesses (and supplying vintage frames to majors retailers like Bergdorf Goodman), the pair opened their Soho shop in 2007 to resounding success. Silver Lining stocks an extensive array of vintage specs from the 1960s, 1970s, and 1990s, as well as sunglasses and frames by contemporary designers. You won’t find anything that’s been mass-produced here, but you will find mint-condition vintage Dior, Ray-Ban, and Persol as well as stylish looks from current designers located from Turkey to Japan to right here in New York. Silver and Sacher (who is also a licensed optician), have recently designed their own line, which has equally great craftsmanship and clean lines. Popular with fashion stylists and collectors as well as those looking for great frames, Silver Lining is the place to go for chic, original eyewear. Stop in, and you’ll see.Show lessRead more
