Selima Optique

Selima Salaun opened her first boutique in 1993 and one look explains why she has been so successful. She knows her eyewear. The designer has collaborated with some great creative forces including Catherine Malandrino and Adam Kimmel. The large selection can be daunting, particularly since there are so many eye-catching frames from Tom Ford, Cutler and Gross, and Oscar Magnuson. Selima’s in-house brand is produced in France, with such great attention to quality that her clients have avidly been collecting her eyewear for years. There are some unique finds like chunky aviators, vintage Pierre Cardins, and buffalo horn eyeglasses. Thankfully Selima employs a lovely staff of attentive salespeople to take you through the whole process. Though there’s enough frames to make your head spin, take a deep breath and dive in.Show lessRead more

    ABOUT US

As chain stores fill the streetscape the world over, this project is a celebration of the independent retailer. All stores featured on Shopikon have been hand-picked by our editors who have visited thousands of stores, and only the best of the bunch make it into our guide. We evaluate stores based on product selection, atmosphere, dedication to their specialty, and overall shopping experience, making sure that they are all worth your trip!
