Walk into Ochre and you might think you’ve stepped into an art gallery hidden among the shops of SoHo. And, in fact, you’d be partially right: the store was opened in 2006 by Andrew Corrie and Harriet Maxwell MacDonald to showcase exquisite home decor pieces. The two owners of Ochre met in London, where they founded a design label under the same name, and the store is an expansion of their interior design work. In addition to their brand of elegant furniture and lighting Ochre carries carefully curated pieces from all over the world. The store space reveals a continuous and evolving process of finding and showcasing quality products including furniture, pillows, mirrors, lamps and dishes. The prices and products run the gamut from practical to luxurious, and the store strives to provide something for everyone, from the casual retail customer to their substantial interior design following. All of the products are delicately arranged to create a beautiful and inspiring space.Show lessRead more
