Mociun

Caitlin Mociun is a jewelry designer who opened her namesake shop in Williamsburg not only to sell her own designs, but also to promote the works of upcoming artists, many of whom she counts among her friends. The result is her dream realized: an environment Mociun loves, full of beautiful things. As a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, this former textile designer turned fashion designer, has the impeccable eye and ability to curate a selection of complementary yet eclectic pieces. Ceramics by Eric Bonnen and Robert Blue rest in one corner, while elsewhere knives by Santa Fe Stonework and Belgian linens by Libeco are displayed artfully on a table near an antique rug discovered on a trip to India. Tiny treasures like ceramic fortune cookies by Alexandra Pollner - complete with real fortunes inside written by a fortune teller - coexist with beauty products ranging from MCMC perfumes to Saipua soaps from a farm upstate. A stop at Mociun’s boutique feels like a visit to a museum and an artist’s studio all in one.Show lessRead more

    ABOUT US

As chain stores fill the streetscape the world over, this project is a celebration of the independent retailer. All stores featured on Shopikon have been hand-picked by our editors who have visited thousands of stores, and only the best of the bunch make it into our guide. We evaluate stores based on product selection, atmosphere, dedication to their specialty, and overall shopping experience, making sure that they are all worth your trip!
