Maryam Nassir Zadeh

Maryam Nassir Zadeh opened her boutique in 2008, and though hers is not the only intimate boutique on the Lower East Side, the specialty store quality of her space makes her a standout. The raw space is filled with furniture that gives the sense of found objects artfully arranged, and is perfect to showcase the diverse jewelry on display. Accessories run the gamut from evening-only glamour to your favorite go-to gold stackable rings and bangles, with your eye constantly darting from bauble to bauble. Maryam also stocks her boutique with pieces from her travels, so you’re just as likely to find a handcrafted leather sandal from Ecuador as a slouchy woven knit with the distinct whiff of French it-girl. Maryam collects the pieces that she loves, which are brought together effortlessly as runway leggings from New York niche designers mingle with oversized tees and simple evening gowns that are as far from challenging fashion as possible. We dare you to walk into this boutique and not fall in love with one of the sundry offerings. Show lessRead more

    ABOUT US

As chain stores fill the streetscape the world over, this project is a celebration of the independent retailer. All stores featured on Shopikon have been hand-picked by our editors who have visited thousands of stores, and only the best of the bunch make it into our guide. We evaluate stores based on product selection, atmosphere, dedication to their specialty, and overall shopping experience, making sure that they are all worth your trip!
