While George Nunno and Jon Maroto were traveling to Italy as part of their fashion work with Coach and J. Crew, they fell in love with the stylish furnishings at Flair, a furniture gallery in Florence owned by Franco Mariotti and Alessandra Tabacchi. Their budding friendship grew into a Flair location in Soho, where Nunno and Maroto present the fresh, confident, and timeless take on home décor that they came to love in Italy. Walking into Flair’s large showroom is a bit like entering a movie set; the examples of designer living room styles feature countless pieces, including an old family armchair, a 1970s console table, a Moroccan rug, and simple, stylish lamps. Flair’s elegant style is nonchalant, yet confident. “Our goal is to provide a sense of history and eclecticism,” Nunno and Maroto agree. Flair’s ever-changing array of antique furnishings range from mid-century Italian through American Art Deco as well as French 1940s through 1970s, and a wide variety of vintage designs.Show lessRead more
