Dry Dock

Dry Dock is a classic neighborhood wine shop. The welcoming staff knows many of the customers by name, and even when they're not coming in to buy, the neighbors are dropping in to say hello and catch up on community news. The shop was opened in 2009 by Mary Dudine-Kyle and Ron Kyle, a Red Hook couple who spotted the need for a liquor store with quality wines and spirits in their area. The pair threw themselves into the business with gusto, taking classes, reading up on different types of wine and tasting all the time, building strong friendships with local distilleries and distributors in the process. Dry Dock focuses on the local people and the little people, taking pride in knowing the unique tastes of their regular customers and maintaining close relationships with small producers. The owners want to make wine an accessible, everyday experience, doing away with the notion of it as a lavish indulgence. The shop’s offerings run the gamut of wine and spirits, including red, white, rose and sparkling wine, as well as liquors and ciders. No matter if you're searching for pairing advice or a locally crafted libation, Dry Dock provides a personalized Brooklyn experience.Show lessRead more
