Diana Broussard

With a quick glance through the window of designer Diana Broussard’s eponymous boutique, a passerby could be forgiven for mistaking it for an art gallery, though it was designed to resemble an open-air Italian palazzo. Sleek, understated, and uncluttered, the interior of Broussard’s store appears to follow the same design principles as the products she creates and sells—luxury handbags, eyewear, shoes, jewelry, and lingerie. Having spent years in Europe designing accessories and footwear for such prominent names as Gucci, Calvin Klein, Christian Dior, and John Galliano, Broussard returned to New York in 2001 to launch her own collection. Her Christopher Street shop—open since 2007—largely features her own designs as well as those from friends like Christian Roth and Emilio Calvallini. Broussard’s entire line is crafted in Italy where she developed a great appreciation for fine artistic craftsmanship. Her shoes display a remarkably casual elegance and sophistication, while her jewelry and lingerie demand more attention, like works of art you can wear.Show lessRead more
