Nevena Borissova was just 22 years old when she opened the first Curve boutique in 1997. It was her natural sense of style and ability to carefully edit designers’ collections that has made her Soho boutique an institution in New York City. Since opening in 2007, the Soho store has carried a mix of talented and daring designs, ranging from established talents like Alexander McQueen to up and comers like Jen Kao and Mark Fast. What you’ll notice about Curve is that for a relatively small selection, the store carries a wide range of designers. That’s because Curve’s buyers know how to pick a little of the best from everyone, like nude multi-strap pumps by John Galliano or white crepe tuxedo by Iro. Borissova has a unique vision, not caring to deal in tried and true basics but rather finding the coolest and most clever designs for the downtown set. Every girl from a high school sophomore to a hip mother can find a little something in Curve to instantly upgrade their wardrobe.Show lessRead more
