New York designers feel right at home among the comprehensive collection of European, American, and Asian furnishings at Coolhouse Antiques, which has been serving the interior design industry since 2006. Since moving to their Chelsea location in 2008, Coolhouse owner Niloo Naderi has opened the shop to the general public, but his clientele largely remains commercial, as Coolhouse provides interesting and eclectic accent pieces and art to high-end shops, restaurants, and corporate offices. You’ll want to take plenty of time to browse Coolhouse’s vast array of lighting fixtures, antique garden elements, archaic and unusual items such as antique book presses, and a fine selection of furnishings from the 1880s to the present day. Coolhouse also specializes in specific designers, such as furnishings by Gaetano Pesce, metal lighting by Serge Mouille and Jean-Louis Domecq, and Eiji Shibata, creator of the organically inspired Mangrove Chair, a Coolhouse exclusive.Show lessRead more

All stores featured on Shopikon have been hand-picked by our editors who have visited thousands of stores, and only the best of the bunch make it into our guide. We evaluate stores based on product selection, atmosphere, dedication to their specialty, and overall shopping experience, making sure that they are all worth your trip!
