City Foundry

Sohrab Bakhshi was a collector. He collected furniture and found objects, refashioning used items for new purposes and accumulating an eclectic mix of home decor pieces. One day he decided to turn his passion into a business, and City Foundry was born. From opening its doors in 2000, the shop has grown into a veritable treasure trove of vintage and antique items, with a heavy dose of Bakhshi’s own craftsmanship thrown in the mix. The focus is on industrial furniture, lighting and artifacts, although there are mid-century and modern pieces scattered throughout the collection. Bakhshi has also created a CF Signature line of tables, lighting, seating, and mirrors that he makes largely from found objects, and he offers a custom service tailored to specific needs and desires. He is interested in both visual value and function, and these elements take precedence over simple artistic considerations. City Foundry is the ideal destination for those interested in innovative designs, unique pieces and sustainable home furnishings.Show lessRead more
