A lofty, spacious SoHo furniture store with high ceilings is the perfect showroom for the original, large pieces at BDDW. Owner and head designer Tyler Hays, a painter and sculptor, originally started BDDW as a workshop in Brooklyn and upstate New York. The first showroom opened on the Lower East Side in the late '90s, moving to its current location on Crosby Street in 2001. Domestic heirloom woods are traditionally joined and hand-rubbed with natural oils and lacquers for a lasting finish in the workshop, which is now in Philadelphia. Interior designers and architects come here for one of a kind designs. Warm, modern statement pieces entice everyone from Crosby Street neighbors to international buyers. Signature BDDW furnishings include the Slab Dining Table, Lake Credenza and the Tripod Floor Lamp. Make sure to browse the new upholstery collection and take a look at the Market Shelf. Handmade with beautiful craftsmanship, these are timeless works of art made to last for generations.Show lessRead more
