Storey's Ltd

Storey’s Ltd has called Cecil Court home since 1929. Originally established by Harold Storey, it remained a family affair until it was sold to Ted Kingswood, an avid traveler who supplied journals and periodicals to emerging universities in developing countries. The Kingswood family’s equal love of publishing and travel is evident in Storey’s Ltd’s current selection of antique prints and maps. Filling an impressive three galleries, their stock includes over 15,000 engravings representing topography, botanicals, military, architecture and caricatures. In addition to the unique selection of engraved prints, Storey’s Ltd also offers a bespoke picture framing service. Their workshop is located on their Cecil Court premises so your newly purchased print can be framed and ready to hang within 48 hours. Show lessRead more

As chain stores fill the streetscape the world over, this project is a celebration of the independent retailer. All stores featured on Shopikon have been hand-picked by our editors who have visited thousands of stores, and only the best of the bunch make it into our guide. We evaluate stores based on product selection, atmosphere, dedication to their specialty, and overall shopping experience, making sure that they are all worth your trip!
