Lutyens & Rubinstein
Lutyens & Rubinstein

Having already run a respected literary agency since 1993, it was safe to say that when Sarah Lutyens and Felicity Rubenstein opened their eponymous bookshop in 2009, it was going to be something special. Contacts, connections, and a whole lot of literary knowledge helped in the evolution of the chic Notting Hill bookshop. Selling fiction, non-fiction, poetry, art and children’s books, Lutyens and Rubenstein is as diverse as it is carefully curated. Spread across two floors, the West London store is stylish and smart. Designed by architects de Rosee & Sa, you’ll find book sculptures hanging from the ceiling and minute attention paid to the aesthetics of the stock on the jet-black tables and shelves. Lutyens and Rubenstein has an enviable back catalogue of author signings behind it, which include Jennifer Egan’s sole UK signing on release of A Visit from the Goon Squad, as well as an appearance by Chad Harback, author of The Art of Fielding. As if the books weren’t enough, Lutyens and Rubenstein even stock a small selection of their own jam and honey for those bibliophiles in possession of a sweet tooth.Show lessRead moreToby Orton
