Stereoki in Friedrichshain is a place to shop for both big name and small label clothing. From lesser known brands like Clae, Libertine Libertine, The Quiet Life and Six Pack France to more obvious labels like New Balance and Sperry Topsider, the shop stocks a full head-to-toe product assortment: Sneakers, hats, watches, shirts, tees, jackets, wallets, eyewear and bags. Unusual items like wooden sunglasses, by Oregon-based Shwood (sold only at Stereoki in all of Germany) organic cotton Nudie Jeans, Knowledge Cotton Apparel, and heritage-style t-shirts from Uniforms for the Dedicated are also mainstays. Owner Kai’s background in creative advertising and carpentry inform both the shop’s offerings and its interior, with a panel of the space’s original, raw wood wall framed behind the register and a center island artfully displaying a few highlighted items. Men who like to shop without rules for pieces that are at once hip and unpretentious will find all they're looking for at Stereoki.Show lessRead more

As chain stores fill the streetscape the world over, this project is a celebration of the independent retailer. All stores featured on Shopikon have been hand-picked by our editors who have visited thousands of stores, and only the best of the bunch make it into our guide. We evaluate stores based on product selection, atmosphere, dedication to their specialty, and overall shopping experience, making sure that they are all worth your trip!
