fein und ripp

    Fein und Ripp is a family business driven by a deep love for craft and high-quality clothing. Joachim Pianka and his two sons, Aljoscha Augustin and Marlon Putzke, opened the store at the end of 2010, after stumbling upon a textile treasure at a factory near Stuttgart. A deadstock of button shirts, undershirts, polo shirts and blouses dating from the 1920s to the 1980s had been waiting to be discovered. The three men decided to open a store to bring them to the public, and so the story began. The company's love for durability extends to the care instructions for denim: they recommend hardly ever washing their jeans, and then only by hand. Aside from the un-used vintage stock, one can find revival shirts from Schiesser, a 135 year-old German undergarments company. The store also carries a selection of working boots by brands such as Trabert, a 350-year old German family business.
