Review of Family Tree in London
If you’re won over by intimate, ever so slightly twee kingdoms of originality and creativity, then Family Tree is perfect for you. Started by Mathew and Takako Copeland in 2004, Family Tree grew out of the couple’s wish to showcase a personal range of lifestyle products designed by family and friends – hence the name of the store. Their wish came true and now the Exmouth Market shop is filled with independently designed, handcrafted gifts, accessories and curiosities. Manufacturing in small runs, you’ll find lamps, broaches, jewelry and children’s toys. If it’s something a little different you’re after, then Family Tree is the place to find it. The store works with local designers to create quirky, one-off interior accessories with a focus on the ethical side of things. The Copeland’s also make their own line of jewelry, furniture and lighting, inspired as much by their Anglo-Japanese background as by the city itself. Visit and become part of the Family Tree.
