West Village
One of the few areas in Manhattan, north of Houston Street, where one can get reasonably lost, the western part of Greenwich Village is a charming neighborhood of tree-lined streets, brownstones and superb night-time hangouts. With places like Corner Bistro, Kettle of Fish, Fat Cat and the Village Vanguard right around the corner, it's understandable that everyone wants to live here.
