These days, Hell's Kitchen is a bit of a misnomer for the area of Manhattan that was once known as the borough's gritty underbelly. Immortalized in works like “West Side Story,” the neighborhood is both a transportation hub and an increasingly popular place to live. Hell's Kitchen's culinary scene is one of New York's most diverse, especially on 9th Avenue's famed Restaurant Row.
