Talk to Luca, one half of the ownership team behind Do Shop, and he’ll confidently tell you that there are four things a product must have to feature in his store: Beauty, Functionality, Simplicity, and Uniqueness. Sound like a lot? Well, judging by Do Shop’s charming array of LZF lighting and Alessandro Zambelli kitchenware they’re certainly looking in the right places. Set in a quiet corner of Covent Garden, Do Shop stocks a mixture of respected brands like Mueller and Diesel along with altogether more irreverent collections. We’re talking ceramic skulls, cork toast racks and alphabet bookcases. The owners’ strong personalities are highlighted by Do Shop’s patronage of young designers fresh out of university, while they also take time to participate in social projects around the world. Take the range of metal bags for example - a collection created from the discarded ring-pulls of a Rio favela that presents its community design in action.
