An attractive suburb of Kensington, Notting Hill spreads from the north-western cusp of Hyde Park. Famed for Portobello Market and the high-end stores that have grown up around it, it appeals both to the thrifty and the frivolous. Immortalized by the movie, Notting Hill, the area is better reflected by the annual Notting Hill Carnival – inspired by the neighborhood’s West Indian community.
